but one day
I fell
into a vat
of dark,
rich
bona fide
decadence

I no longer
consume
purple cellophane
wrapped impostors

I am
ruined for
the ordinary
and the cheap
for
I tapped
life's solid vein
of B&W clad
chocolat ...

i buy pretty paper
i buy pretty pens
i seek out beauty
for inspiration

sometimes
i look up
at the sky
when it is
blue

or yearn
for the sea
the sound
of waves
crashing

what i desire
most
is to
create
